Create a Study Area Using Polygon Data
Overview
Sitewise has the ability to create study areas based on polygon data, providing flexibility when analyzing your data. By leveraging this feature, organizations can tailor study areas to their specific polygons, ensuring more targeted and relevant insights.
Use Cases
I want to create a study area that is visible in the Profile and Map tabs using a standard geographic boundary such as State’s, ZIP Codes, Blockgroup’s etc. Is this possible?
Can I create a study area using my existing franchise territories or area development agreements. I would like to profile the population within the area and then use the
Study Area Tools to define overlaps or merge areas together.
Create a Study Area from a Polygon Layer
On the layers panel, turn on any polygon layer in your mapset so it’s visible on the map.
On the map, navigate to the polygon shape you want to create as a study area.
Click on the polygon to open the Infobox.

- Click on the
icon. The Polygon Study Area popup will appear.
Name the study area accordingly.
Select '
Stay on Map' if you want to add more areas for analysis.

When ready, click
to profile the study area.
